Over 5 days, you’ll navigate the Amazon and its tributaries, camp in deep jungle, explore blackwater lakes, fish for piranhas, and observe sloths in their natural habitat. Adventure, nature, and culture in an experience that flows with the jungle
DAY 1

7:00 am Departure from Leticia, navigating the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño.

Town tour including the viewpoint, Natütama Museum, and an Amazon fruit ice cream.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Meet your local guide and travel along the Loretoyacu River to the Puerto Rico community (~1.5 hours).

Short 15-minute walk to Capibara Forest Lodge.

Accommodation in a hammock with mosquito net (basic facilities, no electricity).

Night jungle walk for insect and wildlife observation.
-
Return to the lodge for dinner in a traditional open-air kitchen and rest.
DAY 2

Breakfast at the lodge.

Prepare camping gear and hike to the campsite.

Set up your hammock with a mosquito net (hands-on learning).

Prepare lunch in the jungle and enjoy some rest time.

Night jungle exploration for possible wildlife spotting.

Return to the lodge for dinner, stories around the fire, and rest.
DAY 3

Breakfast in the jungle.

Break camp and return to the Puerto Rico community.

Lunch at a local family home.

Return to the lodge for a shower and rest.

Navigate blackwater lakes with artisanal fishing, exploration, and sunset watching.

Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
DAY 4

Breakfast at the lodge.

Navigation along the Loretoyacu River to Correo and Tarapoto Lakes (depending on water levels, access may be through flooded forest channels).

Arrival at a lakeside cabin at Lake Tarapoto.

Accommodation in a private room with shared bathroom.

Lunch at the cabin.

Lake exploration with artisanal fishing and a refreshing swim.
-
Night exploration for possible caiman spotting.

Return to the cabin for dinner and rest.
DAY 5

Breakfast and pack your belongings.

Departure to the Amazon River towards a Peruvian island.
-
Jungle walk to observe sloths in their natural habitat.
-
Visit to the San Antonio farming community.

Time for a refreshing drink or Peruvian beer.
-
Local lunch prepared by community cooks.
-
Return to the Amazon River and take a public boat to Leticia.
-
End of the tour at the Leticia port at 5:30 pm.
