Experience the real Amazon. Sail along the largest river in the world, cross natural borders, walk among towering jungle giants, and sleep in a hammock surrounded by its sounds. Learn how to set up your own camp and connect with the essence of the rainforest. A true adventure for travelers seeking something unique.

DAY 1 

  • 7:00 am Departure from Leticia, navigating the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño.

  • Meet your local guide and continue by boat to a Peruvian island.

  • Jungle walk to observe sloths in their natural habitat (by canoe during high-water season).

  • Visit a Peruvian farming community for a refreshing drink, followed by a local lunch.

  • Return to the Amazon River and travel 1hr 30 min. to the indigenous community of Puerto Rico.

  • Short 15-minute walk to Capibara Forest Lodge (boat access during high water).

  • Accommodation in a hammock with mosquito net, basic facilities, no electricity.

  • Dinner prepared in a traditional open-air kitchen. Rest.

DAY 2 

  • Breakfast at the cabin

  • Preparation of the equipment for the camp.

  • Jungle hike to the campsite.

  • Setting up your hammock with mosquito net (hands-on learning)

  • Preparation of lunch in the jungle.

  • Rest time.

  • Night walk for possible observation of insects and wildlife.

  • Return to the campsite

  • Dinner, storytilling around the fire, and rest.

DAY 3

  • Breakfast in the jungle.

  • Camp breakdown and return to the Puerto Rico community.

  • Lunch at a family home in the community.

  • Return to the lodge for a shower and rest.

  • Navigation through blackwater lakes.

  • Artisanal fishing, exploration, and sunset observation.

  • Return to the lodge for dinner and rest

DAY 4

  • Breakfast at the lodge.

  • Handicraft workshop with local artisans (bracelets, ceramics, or baskets).

  • Farewell and boat transfer to Puerto Nariño.

  • Hotel check-in (private room and bathroom) and lunch.

  • Town tour, including the viewpoint, Natütama Museum, and regional fruit ice cream.

  • Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

DAY 5

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • 10:00 am Public boat to Leticia, then transfer to a reserve in Peru and meet your local guide.

  • Jungle hike (~2 hours) to learn about medicinal plants and spot wildlife.

  • Arrival at Lake Marasha, accommodation in a private room (electricity from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm).

  • Lunch.

  • Kayaking on the lake and visit to the 500-year-old “Grandfather Tree.”

  • Dinner and night safari for possible caiman spotting.

DAY 6 

  • reakfast at the reserve.

  • Artisanal fishing and time to enjoy the reserve.

  • Lunch.

  • Departure to the Amazon River for possible dolphin spotting.

  • Boat transfer back to Leticia.

  • End of the tour at the Leticia port at 5:00 pm.
